Glenholme Senior Living is looking for a passionate and experienced Peripatetic Senior Care Assistant to join our team.
You will be primarily based at Halmer Court in Spalding, while also providing Senior Care Assistant support at other Glenholme Senior Living services when required.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional who enjoys variety, is adaptable and confident working with different teams, while remaining committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
As a Peripatetic Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our services to maintain consistently high standards of care.
You will lead and support care teams on shift, ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate and person-centred care that promotes their dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.
Due to the peripatetic nature of the role, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as you will be required to travel to other Glenholme Senior Living services according to operational needs.
This may include days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is required for this role.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering high-quality person-centred care to residents
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living activities
- Administering and recording medication safely and accurately
- Leading shifts and supervising and supporting Care Assistants
- Providing experienced senior care support across Glenholme Senior Living services when required
- Supporting services during periods of annual leave, sickness, vacancies or other operational requirements
- Leading by example and promoting best practice
- Updating and maintaining care plans and care records
- Supporting residents with their physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, colleagues and healthcare professionals
- Promoting independence, dignity, inclusion and choice
- Assisting with end-of-life care where required
- Providing guidance, support and mentoring to members of the care team
- Adapting to the needs, routines and teams of different Glenholme Senior Living services

Nestled in the heart of the historic market town of Spalding, Halmer Court is a beautifully designed care home offering a spacious and welcoming environment for older people requiring residential care.
The home features 61 single bedrooms, all with en-suite facilities, and provides high-quality care in a comfortable and supportive setting where residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.
While Halmer Court will be your primary base, flexibility is an important part of this role, and you will be required to support other Glenholme Senior Living services when needed.

What We're Looking For
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Previous experience working within a care setting
- Experience working as a Senior Care Assistant or in a similar senior care role
- Experience supervising and supporting care staff
- Medication administration experience
- A compassionate and person-centred approach
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- The confidence to lead and support a care team on shift
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different services
- A commitment to delivering consistently high standards of care
- The ability to work effectively as part of different teams
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- The flexibility to travel to other Glenholme Senior Living services as required
