Many of our Senior Care Assistants join us with a Level 2 qualification and begin their journey on £13.25 per hour. With the support of funded training and recognised qualifications, they progress to achieve their Level 3 qualification and move to £13.80 per hour. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents to live fulfilling and meaningful lives while maintaining dignity, independence, and choice. You will also support the wider care team during your shift and help ensure high standards of care are maintained throughout the home.

What You Will Do as a Senior Care Assistant:

  • Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
  • Promote independence, choice, and dignity for every resident
  • Administer and manage medication in line with procedures
  • Lead and support care staff during shifts
  • Mentor and guide team members to ensure high standards of care
  • Complete audits and assist with reviewing and updating care plans
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Lead by example in delivering person centred care
  • Support residents to participate in social activities and maintain a fulfilling lifestyle

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ or QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care. However, applications from candidates with Level 2 qualifications will also be considered.
