What You Will Do as a Bank Senior Care Assistant

We are looking for passionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistants to support our residents in living fulfilling and meaningful lives while maintaining their dignity, independence, and individuality. You will be responsible for supervising care staff and ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered at all times. Duties include supporting residents with daily living activities, administering medication, updating care plans, leading shifts, and working closely with families and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support
  • Supervise and support Care Assistants during shifts
  • Administer medication safely and accurately
  • Maintain and update care plans and records
  • Promote dignity, choice, independence, and inclusion
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues, and external professionals
  • Support residents with physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies

Requirements

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care (minimum), ideally Level 3
  • Previous experience in a care setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role
  • Medication administration experience preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Compassionate, professional, and reliable approach
  • Ability to work flexibly across days, nights, weekends, and bank shifts
