Maintenance Person – Glenholme Healthcare
Location: Saltdean (with occasional travel to Byfleet, Surrey)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

To keep our homes running smoothly and looking their best, we’re searching for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Person who takes pride in their work and cares about the people they support.

What you’ll be doing
As our Maintenance Person, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our homes are safe, well-presented and fully maintained. Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing and comfort of the individuals we support.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing day-to-day repairs and maintenance across our properties
- Carrying out plumbing, carpentry, joinery, painting, decorating, basic electrical tasks and general labouring
- Managing weekly safety and compliance checks
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring materials are stored and used efficiently
- Identifying issues and escalating any work beyond your skill level
- Travelling occasionally to other Glenholme sites for maintenance tasks
- Keeping accurate records using basic IT systems (Word/Excel)
- Ensuring all maintenance tasks are completed safely, professionally and to a high standard
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem solving and is passionate about keeping our homes safe and welcoming.
You should be:
- Hard-working, reliable and detail-focused
- Skilled in general maintenance tasks (plumbing, carpentry, electrical, decorating etc.)
- Safety-conscious with good awareness of risks and safe working practices
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Respectful and professional with residents, families and colleagues
- Experienced in a trade or maintenance role (preferred but not essential)
- In possession of a valid UK driving licence and willing to travel
- Comfortable using basic IT systems and carrying out admin tasks
- DBS checked or willing to obtain one
Desirable qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds / BTEC or similar in a maintenance trade
- Health & Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, CITB, or equivalent)
