Care Assistant Days – Residential Care
Location: Vera James, Ely CB6 1TA
Salary: £12.25 per hour + Paid Training + Amazing Employee Benefits
Hours: Full Time 35 hours per week (Alternate Weekends)

Being a Care Assistant means being a companion, a helping hand, and a source of comfort. You’ll play a vital role in supporting older people to live with dignity and independence.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with personal care and hygiene
- Supporting mobility around the home
- Helping with housework such as cleaning and tidying
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Administering or supporting medication management
Vera James House is a purpose-built residential care home for older people with 42 single rooms, all with ensuite facilities. Vera James House is designated to support older people living with dementia and other related illnesses, and residents who require permanent or respite care in a residential setting.
