Glenholme Healthcare's brand-new care home, Wendreth Court is looking for an Assistant Chef to join us! We are looking for an Assistant Chef that can deliver high-quality and wholesome dishes cooked at the highest quality and standards.

Experience Required from an Assistant Chef:
- COSHH, HACCP, Environmental Health Standards/ Regulations
- Experience in leading, motivating, and inspiring a team
- A good understanding of nutrition
- Experience in working with fresh seasonal food
- The ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home
- Confidence in engaging with residents to create appetising and nutritious menu
Responsibilities as an Assistant Chef:
- Apply and share knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, Health standards/ Regulations etc with staff to ensure they are all aware and meeting legislation and company policies
- To carry out audits and ensure all records are completed and up to date
- To hold regular meetings with service users and their families and regularly review and update menus according to service users’ choices
- To be responsible for the kitchen staff hiring, training, induction, supervision, and reviews
- Ensure a balanced home-cooked diet is available to the service users, making sure any personal, cultural, or religious requirements are met.
- Adhere to the home budgets when purchasing stock and materials.
- Ensure hygiene standards are high
- Maintain accurate records as stipulated by Environmental Health, Food Standards Agency, CQC, and the company.
- Regularly review and update menus according to service users’ choices
- Keep up to date with training
