Job Description

Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Health and Safety Advisor to join our team based in Kilmarnock. This Health and Safety Advisor role will see you supporting the business to give guidance, support, advice, and governance to the Projects/Business on all SHEQ related subjects. Ideally you will have some experience in a Health and Safety or SHEQ role, but we can offer training and experience to junior applicants and be able to give you experience supporting the Directors/Heads of Operations.

As Health and Safety Advisor you will:

  • Communicate and engage and implement the SHEQ strategy
  • Assist and promote the local & external audit programme.
  • Help to ensure the business is compliant with all HSES Regulations, company policies and the BMS across the business
  • Provide SHEQ advice and support at an operational level.
  • Assist in the identification of site SHEQ training needs.
  • Support SHEQ across the business.
  • Communicate and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Supporting the business during near miss/incident/accident investigations.
  • Support the SHEQ upskilling and development of the business operational teams
  • Promote SHEQ initiatives and innovations across their Project.

Who we're looking for

  • Ideally you would hold, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification – such as NEBOSH General.
  • Prior experience IN SHEQ, health and safety or work in construction, utilities, DNO or ICP environment would be advantageous.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience of reviewing and producing SHEQ reports for managers and clients.
