Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee cable jointing and laying operations within the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in high-voltage (HV) and extra-high-voltage (EHV) systems, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Supervision: Oversee the installation, jointing, and laying of HV and EHV cables, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate a team of technicians, cable jointers, and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety and collaboration.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company quality standards.
- Health & Safety: Enforce adherence to HSE policies and best practices, mitigating risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide progress updates and address potential challenges.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of site activities, inspections, and compliance audits.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cable installation and jointing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience in the T&D sector, particularly in cable jointing and laying.
