At Glenelg Support, we provide exceptional care for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs in a supported living environment. We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who share our core values and have the skills to support those in need. These roles will all be based in Liverpool.

We currently have the following shift pattern availability:

  • Male and female support worker - long days with sleep in - full time - Flexibility on days is required
  • Male and female days only support workers - these can be long shifts so flexible availability is required, this can be full time or part time.

We do NOT currently have night shift vacancies. We DO NOT offer visa sponsorship. We welcome candidates without previous experience to apply for the Support Worker role, as we are dedicated to providing the training and guidance needed to help you thrive in your career with us. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential, while skills such as initiative, patience, understanding, and a passion for helping others will set you up for success.

Drivers are required for our current open vacancies; our services that require drivers must have a full UK Manual driving licence due to the Mobility Car Insurance policy (we cannot accept provisional or international licences). Some services require female candidates only as this is indicated under occupational requirement in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities may include supporting individuals to develop independent living skills at home, such as cleaning, cooking, personal care, laundry, budgeting, and meal planning. You'll also assist with managing appointments related to health and housing needs, as well as administering medication when required. Additionally, you'll encourage and support individuals to engage with the community and participate in activities they enjoy, promoting their independence and well-being.
