At Glenelg Support, we provide exceptional care for individuals with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs in a supported living environment. We pride ourselves on working closely with both individuals and their families to develop personalized support plans that make a real difference in peoples lives.

We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate Female Support Workers to join our team in Chorley. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who share our core values and have the skills to support those in need.

Responsibilities

  • Daily responsibilities may involve assisting individuals in developing independent living skills, such as cleaning, cooking, personal care, laundry/ironing, budgeting, paying bills, and meal planning/shopping. You will also coordinate and attend appointments related to health and housing needs, support with medication administration, and help individuals engage with the community through activities they enjoy.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Understanding and experience working with autism and complex behaviours; previous experience in a specialist autism setting; knowledge of autism-specific approaches to communication, learning, and positive behaviour support; experience working closely with families in a support capacity; ability to handle a variety of tasks with flexibility and initiative.

  • Required: A full, clean UK/EU driving license, as there is a requirement to drive mobility vehicles. We cannot accept provisional or international licences due to insurance requirements.
