The Role
We are looking for a welcoming, organised, and reliable Part-Time Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Group Support Office. This position is a Maternity Cover on a part-time basis, offered as a fixed-term contract until January (with the potential to become permanent). Working alongside our Senior Administrator, you will be the front-of-house presence for GSO, acting as the main point of contact for visitors, incoming calls, and day-to-day office organisation. This is a key support role where your positive attitude and efficiency will ensure our head office runs smoothly every afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-of-House & Reception: Warmly greet visitors, manage parking and refreshment coordination, answer incoming phone calls, and direct queries to the right team members.
- Office Coordination: Manage incoming/outgoing post and couriers, order weekly office supplies, and liaise with cleaners and contractors to keep the office looking presentable.
- Facility Support: Oversee routine office maintenance (coffee machines, photocopiers, printers).
- Administrative Assistance: Print training materials, assist with general filing and admin tasks, and support the Senior Administrator with day-to-day office operations.
Person Specification
- Previous reception or administrative experience preferred
- Friendly, professional manner when dealing with visitors and colleagues
- Well organised, able to manage multiple day-to-day tasks
- Basic IT literacy (Microsoft Office, email)
- Reliable and flexible, able to support the wider team as needed
