  • Full time, fixed term until 31st October

Main Duties

  • Hands‑on role assisting the Contract Manager in the effective delivery of programmed maintenance, responsible for several operational teams.
  • Take responsibility for works on site, including timekeeping, productivity arrangements for breaks, dealing with members of the public, visitors and deliveries.
  • Motivate, support and guide teams, proactively leading by example and maintaining workforce discipline.
  • Oversee the smooth running of the depot, ensuring cleanliness of the depot and yard are of high standard at all times.
  • Operate and ensure others operate company and hire vehicles, machinery and equipment with care; daily checks and routine servicing are carried out and properly recorded.
  • Be aware of enhanced duties under the Glendale Health & Safety Policy for the safety of team members on site and for reporting incidents and near misses.
  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required by the Contract Manager and Supervisor.
  • The Person
  • Ideally qualified in horticulture.
  • Confident with good people‑management skills.
  • Adaptable to different working techniques with a strong work ethic.
  • Experienced with a variety of small engine machinery.
  • Good IT knowledge.
  • Willingness to undertake police accreditation and DBS reference check.
  • Must be able to drive; ideally have a full, clean driving licence.
  • PA1 & PA6 essential.
  • Aware of all relevant Health & Safety legislation.
  • Reliable, conscientious and able to work on own initiative.
