About My Client
My client is a global leader in innovative flooring solutions with over 80 years of expertise creating sustainable, high-performance products for commercial and retail environments. They are known for combining cutting-edge design with exceptional durability - their flooring solutions don’t just look stunning, they’re built to last in the toughest environments. With a reputation for quality that’s recognised worldwide, they’re now expanding their presence in the convenience retail sector across the North of England and need someone who can make it happen.
The Role
This is your chance to run your own show. As Retail Sales Manager covering the North, you’ll be selling a premium flooring range into small-format and convenience retailers, working with shopfitting contractors, retail equipment wholesalers, and key accounts. This is a high-impact, field-based role where you’ll spend 80% of your time on the road, building relationships and winning business. You’ll have the autonomy to shape your territory strategy, identify opportunities, and convert them into profitable partnerships. Think cold calling independent retailers, engaging contractors on live projects, and representing the brand at industry exhibitions. You’ll be backed by a market-leading product portfolio, but the success of this territory is down to you - and that’s exactly how you like it.
The Person
We need a proper sales hunter - someone who thrives on new business development and has the resilience to succeed in a competitive market. You understand retail inside-out, whether from selling into it or working within it, and you know how to speak the language of both B2B and B2C stakeholders. Experience in flooring, building products, or commercial interiors would be a major advantage, but what really matters is your track record of smashing targets and your comfort with high-volume, in-person prospecting. You’re commercially sharp, self-motivated, and confident influencing decision-makers from independent store owners to project contractors. This role demands someone who’s organised, dynamic, and genuinely passionate about customer service. If you’re the type who sees rejection as redirection and converts obstacles into opportunities, you’ll flourish here.
Great earning potential. Total autonomy. A territory ripe for growth.
