The position encompasses duties and responsibilities as follows:
- The job of the operator is to ensure that the logistically complicated and intensive process of managing the day-to-day operations for all traded LNG cargoes. This means coordinating closely with traders, ship owners, finance, treasury and customers in ensuring the efficient custody and transportation of LNG to meet customers' needs.
- Responsible for commercial operations related to the loading, discharge and transport of LNG cargoes.
- Proactively interact with internal colleagues, external counterparties and service providers to ensure cargoes are operated in a structured manner.
- Securing SSCS & vessel clearance at load and discharge ports.
- Issuing load and discharge orders for cargoes.
- Appointment of cargo surveyors and analysis of load and discharge reports.
- Post deal reconciliation and review.
- Assist with Demurrage calculation and negotiation.
- Evaluate contracts to secure maximum commercial value from each deal.
- Work closely with the traders to implement new trading strategies and maximize the value of existing strategies.
- Ensure all operations activities are conducted in compliance with relevant HSSE and operating standards.
- Manage the day-to-day for Time Chartered vessels, including voyage preparation, communication with Master and Head Owners to ensure orders are clearly communicated and understood.
- Manage voyage optimisations, FO bunker replenishment, performance claims and Off Hire Claims.
- Interface with the Legal/Contracts, Mid and Back Office Functions, Tax and Credit teams to provide assurance on trading processes, guidelines and procedures.
- ADP & NDS Programme Scheduling the movement of products to the customer and co-ordination with terminals.
- Maintaining timely and accurate records in the relevant systems.
- Interfacing with the regional offices on operational decisions and the resolution of issues.
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing the relationships with third parties / companies / associates, including terminals, vessel owners, shipping agents, surveyors and Marketing businesses.
- Providing market intelligence to support analytics and traders understanding of market activity.
- Support the Traders, Business Developers and Charterers on contract reviews and deal negotiations.
- Act in due compliance with contractual obligations and corporate procedures.
