Key Responsibilities
- Legal
- Support the negotiation and execution of commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with AQE's legal, commercial and compliance requirements.
- Assist with the preparation, review and maintenance of corporate and legal documentation across AQE and its assets.
- Assist with corporate governance, corporate secretarial and entity management activities across AQE's portfolio of assets and subsidiaries.
- Compliance
- Support the implementation and enhancement of AQE's Corporate Compliance Programme across its assets and operations, working closely with the Head of Legal and Compliance and Local Compliance Champions and Coordinators.
- Assist with periodic compliance risk assessments and the identification of emerging compliance risks across the business.
- Support the adaptation and implementation of AQE compliance policies, procedures and guidelines to meet local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with local legal and compliance teams on compliance-related matters.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations and management updates on the status of compliance initiatives and risk mitigation activities.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to AQE personnel on day-to-day compliance issues, including anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, third-party due diligence.
- Deliver compliance training and awareness programmes, both remotely and in person, across AQE's operations.
- Assist in developing annual compliance training plans and monitoring completion across AQE assets.
- Support the design, implementation and testing of compliance controls and monitoring activities.
- Monitor regulatory developments, industry trends and best practices relevant to legal, compliance and governance matters.
