Ravensworth Operations comprises Ravensworth Open Cut and the Coal Handling Preparation Plant that provides high quality coal for the export market. The operation has approval to mine over 14Mtpa, with a long life of mine. An opportunity exists at our operation for a Blast Supervisor to join our team. As an integral member of the mining team, you provide strong leadership to drive a high-performance, safe and productive work culture, role modelling and reinforcing the behaviours that will underpin the success of our operation.
Reporting to the Drill and Blast Superintendent, you will be primarily responsible for:
- Supervise and instruct personnel within the blast team to meet planned outcomes and hold members of team accountable to expected standards of behaviour and performance;
- Monitor tasks being carried out by immediate team as well as contracting support, are undertaken in a safe manner and comply with applicable policies, plans and procedures;
- Lead by example by providing visible and credible direction to achieve a safe and achievement-oriented approach to work;
- Identify and communicate risks associated with health, safety, and environmental impacts;
- Oversee people management issues in area of responsibility including input to training and development of team members;
- As required, contribute to planning and allocation of resources within area of responsibility.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A NSW Open Cut Examiners Practicing Certificate (required).
- Previous Supervisory experience.
- Possess or be eligible for a Security Clearance.
- Previous Drill and Blast experience (desirable).
- Blasting Explosives User’s License (desirable).
