About Us

The Ulan Complex is comprised of Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Mine, and Ulan Surface Operations. The Complex has two established, efficient, and high production underground longwall coal mining operations in the western coalfields of NSW. Here at Ulan Surface Operations, we manage the coal preparation and rail loadout activities.

Do you experience job satisfaction from?

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring Health and safety strategies to enable business priorities and a safe workplace culture
  • Managing implementation and compliance of health and safety systems
  • Engaging with key stakeholders and internal groups to respond to demands and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Supporting your direct reports in the areas of Training, Emergency response, Safety and Health & Injury Management

Do you possess:

  • Demonstrated leadership and a track record of delivering improvement initiatives
  • Previous experience working in a senior operations role associated with a medium to large size mining business is highly regarded
  • Qualifications in Health & Occupational Hygiene or related discipline
  • Desirable additional qualifications include a Diploma of Frontline Manager, Certificate in Rehabilitation coordination, workplace training and assessment or Health and Safety Auditing
