At this level, Junior Design Managers are given the opportunity to develop a broad base of technical and professional skills and knowledge.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMonitor and support the implementation of project specific design management processes and protocolsAssist PM/SDM in the procurement of design services by contributing towards the definition of consultants\’ scopes of services and responsibilitiesEnsure effective implementation and management of document control processes/ design information relating to subcontractors and consultants in line with company protocolsEnsure effective coordination of the request for information process for the projectFind solutions for on-site technical problemsDevelop a detailed understanding of the project scope and requirements, and the scope of services for all design related consultantsLiaise with client\’s team, project team and other project stakeholders on developing an understanding of design issues, drawing reviews, and supporting the Project Lead in their decision-making processUndertake design-related risk management reviews and workshops with site teams and input into the project risk registerProduce regular progress summaries of specific elements of the designContribute to contractor proposals and client and internal reportsWorking collaboratively and communicating effectively with other areas of the Glencar Construction business to provide exceptional supportWork to the Company\’s Quality, Environmental and Safety Management System standards and performance criteria including delivering the objectives setCo-operate on matters of health and safety and follow the training provided.
