This facilitates the need to hire a Senior Project Manager to look after these projects through to completion. They offer a hybrid working environment with travel required on a weekly basis. The current schemes will be UK wide, with the office based in Manchester.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to work closely with colleagues, consultants and the contractor teams to ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and on budget. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage and coordinate the procurement, construction and post-construction stages, overseeing the professional team/s and contractor/s for each project.
  • Prioritise health and safety and ensure continuous improvement of project delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate the risk management process, including identification, management and mitigation of key risks.
  • Assist in the procurement, selection and briefing/scoping of consultant team members.
  • Assist with the procurement of the main contractor to secure best value.
  • Seek to achieve best value through all aspects of design, procurement and delivery.
  • Maintain strong programme and financial reporting/control throughout the project.
  • Manage client variations and the change control process through the construction phase.
  • Assist with reporting to discharge the client’s duties in accordance with any legal agreements, Development Agreements etc.
  • Assist in the resolution of any disputes arising during the construction phase.
  • Contribute and identify areas for improvement in the construction delivery process.

Candidate requirements:

  • An enthusiastic and experienced “hands-on” Senior Project Manager (MRICS, MAPM or MCIOB qualified is preferred) with new build multi-storey development experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ project management experience with demonstrable operational management skills.
  • Exceptional ability to monitor project performance and construction progress, and drive actions to a satisfactory conclusion.
