A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Product Quality Department. Working: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm.

Primary Purpose of Position

Assist in the day-to-day inspection and measurement of production parts, incoming goods and other materials as required by documented procedures and processes. Assist in the generation of reports and images using the various electronic imaging systems, including the application of image analysis utilising optical microscope and macro video cameras.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspection of components from goods inwards and shop floor using the required sampling and measurement techniques.
  • Correct processing and documenting of findings on appropriate paperwork.
  • Correct processing and documenting of nonconforming / reject product & materials.
  • Establish and develop new procedures when necessary for the functions of Crimp inspection and mechanical inspection activities.
  • Co-ordination and delivery of all passed inspected parts to the correct departments.
  • Give support to all production issues relating to the quality of product or process and raw materials.

Job Requirements and Person Specification

  • Must be able to use an extensive range of measuring equipment.
  • Must have product knowledge and be able to interpret engineering drawing.
  • Experience in the use of all Microsoft Office packages.
