Glen Group are actively recruiting for a permanent, full-time Area Supervisor to join a well-established and growing cleaning business in the Derby area. This is a hands-on cleaning position where cleaning is required and experience is essential; full training will be provided.

Due to the different shift times within the portfolio, you must be available for work between 5am and 9pm, Monday to Friday. Average 35 hours a week. Candidates must be flexible as shift patterns may change depending on sickness and demand. You must be trustworthy, well-organised, flexible, and reliable with a keen eye for attention to detail. A full UK driving licence is required as a company vehicle is provided. A company mobile phone and uniform are provided. Clearance requirements apply for some site access, including SC Clearance (5-year working history) and Enhanced DBS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning staff holidays.
  • Dealing with on-site issues.
  • Respond to customer/site team.
  • Communication with clients.
  • Visiting on-site cleaning teams.
  • Communication with staff.
  • Training new starters.
  • Refresh training for all staff.
  • Be flexible on working times.
  • Work closely with Area Manager.
  • Follow all COSHH, H&S and colour coding.
  • Use of Timegate for actual pay.
  • Daily rectification of faults and correcting issues.
  • Cleaning a mix of areas thoroughly.
  • Auditing sites with clients.
  • Cover cleaning, short-notice sickness and holidays where required.
  • Delivery stock.
  • Staff recruitment.
  • PAT testing sites.
Qualifications & Benefits
  • Full UK driving licence (company vehicle provided).
  • SC Clearance will be required and applied for; 5-year working history.
