The Challenge: To shape the future of Supply Chain & Demand Planning
Are you an experienced Supply Chain and Demand Planning professional looking for an opportunity where you can make a genuine difference? Our client is a highly respected British business with more than 100 years of success, innovation and industry leadership. As the organisation continues to grow, it is making a significant investment in modernising its Supply Chain and Demand Planning capability, including new technology, systems and processes. We are now looking for an ambitious Supply Chain & Demand Planning Specialist to take ownership of this transformation and help build a more efficient, responsive and data-driven planning function. This is an opportunity to join at an important stage of the company's development and have a genuine influence on how Supply Chain and Demand Planning operates for the future.
The Opportunity: Own it. Improve it. Implement it. Shape it. This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys improving the way things work rather than simply managing established processes. Working across multiple functions, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take ownership of Supply Chain and Demand Planning processes and performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve forecasting, planning, inventory and supply-chain efficiency.
- Help define and implement new processes, systems and ways of working.
- Support the implementation and optimisation of new planning technology.
- Work collaboratively across multiple functions and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Challenge existing approaches and introduce practical, sustainable improvements.
- Contribute to the development of the company's wider Supply Chain and Demand Planning strategy.
- Use data, systems and insight to improve planning accuracy, availability and inventory performance.
- Help establish more robust and consistent planning disciplines as the business continues to grow.
This is an ideal role for someone who wants ownership, autonomy and the opportunity to shape a function, with the potential to develop towards a broader management position over time.
What are we looking for? We are looking for an established Supply Chain and Demand Planning professional who combines technical capability with commercial awareness, curiosity and the confidence to influence others. Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience within Supply Chain and/or Demand Planning.
- Experience working within a complex manufacturing, sub-assembly, distribution, wholesale or retail environment.
- Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, inventory and supply-chain processes.
- Experience using supply-chain planning tools and technologies.
- Experience of process improvement, systems implementation or supply-chain transformation.
- The confidence and gravitas to influence and work effectively across multiple functions.
- A collaborative approach, while also being comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- A genuine interest in technology, data and improving planning capability.
- Ambition to progress towards a future management or leadership role.
Systems experience: Experience with Slimstock / Slim4 would be particularly attractive, although candidates with strong experience of other supply-chain planning and forecasting systems are encouraged to apply.
Our Client: The business operates across a diverse range of industries, including:
- Lawn & Garden Machinery
- Agricultural, Plant & Construction / Off-Highway spares and attachments
- Powertrain & Engine Components
- Automotive, CV and Truck & Bus
- Marine Powertrain & Motors
The company partners with globally recognised manufacturers and has built a strong reputation through quality, innovation, service and its people. With continued investment and growth, this is an exciting time to join the organisation and play a key role in developing its next generation of Supply Chain and Demand Planning capability.
Why Apply? This is more than a traditional planning role. You will be joining a stable, well-established and growing British business at a point where it is investing in people, technology and new ways of working. If you are looking for a role where you can: Own it. Improve it. Implement it. Shape it. …this could be an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your Supply Chain career.
