Due to continued rapid growth across the business, a new role has opened up for a Senior/Group Accountant. This role reports to the Group Financial Controller and works closely with the Group Finance Director and Chief Financial Officer as part of a highly skilled and professional Finance team. This key role will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting for the Group.
Main Responsibilities:- Oversight of monthly Group management accounts process including reviewing monthly consolidation and drafting sections of the Board report
- Half year results consolidation and interim accounts and audit pack preparation
- Assisting with the statutory financial statements including Plc consolidated accounts and 7 trading subsidiaries (all IFRS)
- Managing the Group audit process to ensure all work is completed accurately and on time
- Consolidating forecasts and annual budget
- Liaising with the tax advisors to ensure completion of tax returns and quarterly instalment payments
- Managing the cash position of the Group through accurate tracking, forecasting and management of bank drawdowns and deposits
- Quarterly and annual covenant reporting to the bank
- Sustainability reporting including scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon modelling, TCFD and SASB
- Ad hoc projects / analysis as required
- Qualified accountant with 4+ years post qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS)
- Experience in a listed group / consolidation environment
- 'Will do' attitude, ambitious team player with a strong work ethic
- Engaging and personable with the ability to liaise at all levels and lead from the front
