In this role, you’ll take a whole‑company perspective, working collaboratively with colleagues across Commercial, Technical, Construction and Group functions. You’ll ensure materials, plant and services are procured in line with budgets, specifications, policies and build programmes — all while adding value, improving processes and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
What you’ll be doing- Providing a high‑quality procurement service aligned to build programmes, start dates and development budgets
- Managing material orders, specifications, supplier relationships and compliance with Group policies
- Supporting regional teams with technical and operational buying queries
- Monitoring stock levels, storage practices and site requisitions
- Resolving supplier, delivery and invoice queries efficiently
- Producing procurement KPIs, reports, risk assessments and recommendations
- Reviewing supplier and product performance, driving improvements and innovation
- Supporting Group Procurement with standardisation, schedules and cost build‑ups
- Contributing to CVR meetings and commercial reporting
- CIPS/MCIPS qualification or strong experience in a Buying/Procurement role
- Broad commercial, financial and technical awareness
- Knowledge of construction materials, regulations and NHBC requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficiency in COINS (procurement), Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- A collaborative, resilient and solutions‑focused mindset
