Are you passionate about joining a high performing, customer-focused on-site construction team and genuinely care about building affordable quality homes where they are needed most? If you are passionate about what we do here at Gleeson and are considering a new challenge, we have a great opportunity for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our Construction team. You will work with external partners and subcontractors while collaborating with our onsite Sales team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • We’re looking for proactive people who genuinely believe in what we’re doing—building homes, changing lives.
  • Collaborative leaders who positively influence teams and can communicate effectively across departments, both on and offsite.
  • Reinforce directions set out by the Site and Contracts Manager, helping to deliver the development safely and on schedule.
  • Lead by example.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the site, reinforcing Home Safe procedures, maintaining attention to detail, and proactively ensuring compliance.
  • Support the management of onsite Construction and Customer Care responsibilities.
  • Ensure effective compliance, control, and deployment of Construction and onsite Customer Care activities as per company policies.
  • Manage defects post-completion to deliver 5-star customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders and suppliers, both internal and external.
  • Maintain and establish relationships, including engaging with local communities and promoting the Gleeson model.
  • Use Zutec and Digital Plot Books.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • CSCS card as a minimum
  • NVQ Level 4 Construction Site Supervision or similar construction-related NVQ—working towards or achieved a Pass or Distinction
  • SMSTS card holder
  • First Aid at Work certification
  • Scaffold - CISRS
  • Good knowledge of construction methods and processes
  • Awareness of codes of practice affecting construction, e.g., NHBC, Building Regulations
  • Experience in the housebuilding industry
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor is preferred
  • Full UK driving license

Generous holiday entitlement of 26 days per annum plus bank holidays.
