We are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Finance Business Partner to play a pivotal role in driving commercial insight and operational performance across the supply chain. This is a highly visible role, partnering closely with Supply Chain, Operations and Commercial teams, providing robust financial insight to support decision‑making in a complex, high‑volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the finance business partner to Supply Chain and Operations teams, providing clear, actionable insight.
- Own and develop financial reporting around inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS) and manufacturing / logistics costs.
- Drive accurate and efficient inventory accounting, including stock valuation, provisions, obsolescence and working capital optimisation.
- Analyse and manage supply chain risks, identifying cost pressures, inefficiencies and mitigation opportunities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and long‑range planning for supply chain functions.
- Build and improve costing models, including standard costing and variance analysis.
- Challenge operational teams constructively to improve performance, margin and cash flow.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of finance processes, controls and systems.
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong background in FMCG and/or retail, ideally within food, distribution or multi‑site retail.
- Proven experience working with inventory, COGS and supply chain finance in a fast‑moving environment.
- Commercial, proactive and confident partnering with senior stakeholders outside of finance.
- Comfortable handling complexity, ambiguity and large data sets.
