Job Description
Payroll & Benefits and HR Systems Manager – London
£80,000 – £85,000 + 10% bonus + 25 days holiday + pension + bens
London – 3 days per week, and 1 day per week in Sussex + 1 day WFH
I am delighted to be seeking a talented and experienced Payroll & Benefits and IS Manager for a detail-driven individual, with a prime focus on Payroll and HR, to lead and integrate the Payroll and Benefits system. This role is pivotal in shaping how payroll, benefits, and HR technology across multiple regions are managed. This is a hybrid role 3 days per week on-site in London, one day in Sussex (all travel paid for) and one day WFH.

Payroll & Benefits and IS Manager – your key areas of focus will include:
- Own and enhance payroll operations and benefit schemes for a multi-entity business, including a large operational workforce of c1,100 employees
- Lead the governance and optimisation of the HR system, currently used across various regions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and global consistency.
- Drive smarter, data-led HR practices,bringing dashboards, insights, and automation to the forefront.
- Be a trusted partner to senior leaders across People, Finance, and Operations.
- Provide training and support to HR and business users on systems
- Own the relationships with the HRIS provider, development and invoicing.
HRIS Systems Management – additional duties will include:
- Lead the configuration, maintenance, updates, as well as annual holidays and optimisation of the HRIS platform (Dayforce)
- Ensure data integrity, security, cleansing and compliance across payroll, benefits, and HR systems
- Collaborate with Finance, HR, and external vendors to simplify and streamline processes and resolve any issues
- Own the relationships with Dayforce, development and invoicing
- Provide training and support to HR and business users on systems and policies time-sheets
- Partner with the Dayforce provider to ensure they are fully utilising all the systems tools and functionality to benefit the business
- Lead the implementation of a new HRIS or re-contract with Dayforce by summer 2026 and lead the project
HRIS & Payroll Manager Experience Required.
- Proven experience leading Payroll and HRIS in a complex, multi-country environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll compliance and hands-on system expertise (HRIS implementation experience is essential).
- Dayforce experience is essential
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and stakeholder management.
- A proactive mindset, ready to simplify, streamline, and scale systems.
- Outstanding stakeholder and project management skills, being comfortable juggling complexity with clarity.
- People management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the business
- Able to travel to West Sussex once a week
