Job Description
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Analyst:
Responsibility for month-end accounting across a number of head office cost centres (accruals, prepayments and balance sheet recs)Preparing monthly finance packs with clear commentary and variance analysis for senior leadershipAllocating head office costs across different divisions and working closely with Group Finance to ensure accuracyAttending monthly review meetings with cost centre managers – building strong relationships and improving spend visibilityPreparing budgets and forecasts, including seasonal and ad hoc projectionsSupporting cost control across the business through process improvements and better reporting (Power BI knowledge is a bonus here)Getting involved in other ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with previous commercial finance experience is ideal. We can also consider strong, experienced QBEs who come from a large, fast paced industry environments such as retail, wholesale or FMCGConfident Excel skills and the ability to dig into data, spot issues and explain the 'why'Comfortable speaking with stakeholders at all levels – especially non-finance teamsSomeone with a flexible, proactive approach who enjoys working across a wide range of tasksExperience with SQL or Power BI would be ideal, but not essential.
