Job Description
Are you a qualified finance professional with a commercial mindset, eager to shape the future of dynamic, fast-growing businesses?
This is an exciting new opportunity, created in response to sustained growth and a series of recent acquisitions. Reporting directly to a senior group finance leader, you'll play a pivotal role supporting both the internal commercial teams and senior stakeholders across multiple businesses in the wider portfolio.
This role offers variety, exposure to decision-makers, and the chance to work hands-on with growing businesses at different stages of their journey. As the organisation continues to scale, the scope of this position will naturally evolve – making it an ideal fit for someone who thrives in a changing environment.
The Role:
- Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners across the group
- Support commercial and sales teams to drive revenue and sustainable business growth
- Assist subsidiaries and partner businesses with forecasting, reporting, and financial planning
- Conduct financial analysis to offer performance insights and highlight growth opportunities
- Lead reviews of management accounts to deepen understanding of each business's financial landscape
- Investigate financial discrepancies and assist in resolution efforts
- Prepare and present business forecasts and budgets
- Attend performance review meetings with investors and directors where relevant
- Contribute to group-wide budgeting and forecasting processes
- Deliver scenario modelling and financial projections to inform strategic planning
- Create and maintain insightful management information (MI) reports to aid decision-making
- Continually improve modelling techniques and MI reporting standards
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in all financial outputs through robust controls
- Provide support on ad hoc reports, presentations, and deep dives across the finance function
The ideal candidate:
- ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong background in both financial and commercial analysis
- A proactive attitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines
- An understanding of how businesses operate beyond the numbers
- Proficiency in distilling complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
