We are seeking an exceptional Head of FP&A to lead the financial planning, forecasting and performance insight for a large, complex organisation based in Cannock, Staffordshire. This is a senior, high-impact role operating at the heart of the business. You will own the group's forward-looking financial view, ensure absolute confidence in the numbers, and translate financial performance into clear insight that shapes executive decision making. Working closely with the executive team and senior finance leaders, you will elevate FP&A from reporting to true strategic partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own group-wide forecasting, budgeting and long range planning across a multi-entity organisation
- Lead short, medium and long-term financial planning, ensuring accuracy, robustness and agility
- Develop driver-based and scenario models that link operational performance to financial outcomes
- Ensure clarity of assumptions, standards and ownership across all planning cycles
- Provide high-quality financial insight and narrative to senior leadership
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities early and frame actionable options
- Support major commercial and strategic decisions with scenario and sensitivity analysis
- Ensure one trusted, consistent view of financial performance across the group
- Oversee group management reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs)
- Embed strong close, forecast and planning disciplines with clear timetables
- Lead and develop a high performing FP&A and reporting team
- Act as a key interface between finance, operations and the executive team
- Influence, challenge and support senior leaders with confidence and credibility
What We're Looking For:
A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with a proven track record in a senior FP&A position, ideally from within a large complex, multi-entity business. Deep expertise in forecasting, budgeting and scenario planning is essential. You will also have experience of leading a team and business partnering at Exec level, where you have influenced decision making.
