Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Assistant Accountant to join their supportive finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their accounting career within a dynamic and forward-thinking business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting and administrative duties
- Assist in preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Process transactions and maintain accurate financial records
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
- Help ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations
- Provide general support across the finance function, including purchase and sales ledger
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners as required
- Contribute to ongoing improvements within the finance department
Skills & Requirements
- Ideally - studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
- Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role
- Strong numeracy skills and understanding of basic accounting principles
- Competent user of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Able to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
