A close knit, family feel waste management business based in the heart of the Black Country is seeking an immediate start part time (24 to 30 hours a week) HR Coordinator to join their team on an initial 6-month FTC covering a period of maternity. Reporting directly to the company founder, the successful candidate will be responsible for the full employee lifecycle for a headcount of circa 40 employees alongside undertaking various People related projects and general administrative support.

The business offers a collaborative, autonomous and flexible environment that is perfect for someone with solid HR generalist experience who is keen to work on a part time basis. This role requires an immediate start, and the successful candidate must be happy to commit to the duration of the 6 months contract. Hours of work can vary between 24 to 30 hours a week depending on the successful candidate's circumstances. The role will be mainly office based.

Day to day duties may include:

  • Onboarding of new employees - conducting right to work checks, referencing and ensuring completion of all contracts
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries, helping to resolve where needed
  • Handling of a low-level ER case load, supporting with investigations and grievances where needed
  • Working with an external HR consultancy to ensure correct policy and advice is given
  • Working to implement new HR processes and ways of working
  • Supporting with recruitment of new employees
  • Ensuring payroll information is inputted correctly, making amendments where needed

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a HR Generalist role, ideally from working within a SME business or similar. This standalone role will require you to work autonomously, where you can demonstrate your strong communication and organisational skills. You will ideally be CIPD level 5 qualified or similar and you must be immediately available and able to start early February.
