A leading organisation is looking for a Category Buyer to take ownership of the Facilities & Engineering and wider Indirect procurement categories. This role is ideal for someone with strong MRO or facilities procurement experience who enjoys improving supplier performance and driving effective sourcing strategies.

The Role

  • Develop and lead the category strategy
  • Run RFIs, RFQs and full tender processes
  • Negotiate and implement supplier agreements
  • Consolidate and source suppliers to improve service and value
  • Manage supplier performance
  • Deliver savings, cost avoidance and category improvement targets
  • Promote process standardisation and sustainability

About You

  • Experience in facilities management and/or engineering MRO procurement
  • FMCG, warehousing or logistics background is a strong advantage
  • Confident running end‑to‑end tenders
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
  • Able to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities
  • Problem‑solver with good commercial awareness
  • SAP knowledge is helpful but not essential
