Senior Finance Analyst
Location: Stoke-on-Trent – Hybrid working available
Salary: Up to £52,000 + Bonus + Benefits
About the role
Gleeson Recruitment Group are working with a well known brand based in Stoke who are seeking a highly motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join their FP&A team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and developing budgeting and forecasting tools, while also contributing to the development of key financial reports. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Finance department and the wider business, supporting decision-making through robust financial reporting and modelling.

As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in the ongoing development of the corporate forecasting and reporting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models and reporting in the new forecasting tool.
- Establish and enhance business processes to support the rollout of corporate forecasting and reporting functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide valuable financial insights.
- Conduct various analyses to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Create and deliver reports and presentations to communicate financial findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline processes.
- Provide financial expertise and analysis to strategic projects.
- Respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from various departments to support decision-making.
Skills and Experience
- ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or relevant commercial experience.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, modelling, and interpreting large datasets.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and financial modelling.
- Familiarity with financial systems and data visualisation tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-driven with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Knowledge of Power BI and financial software solutions (Vena or similar, such as Workday) would be an advantage.
