Gleeson Recruitment have exclusively partnered with a leading retailer to recruit a Senior Ecommerce Manager into their growing digital team. A highly visible role within the organisation, you will be an experienced leader and manage a team of circa 10 channel specialists. You will be commercially driven, and set the strategy for online search, navigation and digital merchandising for your category. You will be focused on delivering new initiatives that will improve the customer journey, optimise performance and drive online sales.
The role:
- Set the strategy and deliver the ecommerce trading strategy with a focus on onsite search, navigation, and product visibility.
- Come up with new initiatives to drive online sales and continuously improve the customer journey.
- Manage a team of approx. ten, with a focus on leadership, managing workload and upholding best in class standards.
- Analyse performance metrics, understand customer buying behaviours to identify areas for growth.
- Use data and insights to make informed decisions and optimise initiatives.
- Utilise A/B testing to improve the customer journey across all touch points.
- Collaborate with wider ecommerce, marketing, and digital teams to ensure all strategies are aligned.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working in a similar ecommerce trading role - ideally with a retailer.
- Experience managing a team.
- Commercially astute, with excellent stakeholder management skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to analyse data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- High energy and capable of multi-tasking and context-switching with ease in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organisation.
