Job Summary: \\nWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & Commercial Director to lead strategic growth initiatives and drive operational excellence across our organisation. This role is pivotal in identifying new market opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and scaling revenue, while also contributing to the improvement of internal processes and the operational infrastructure needed to support growth. \\n\\nKey Responsibilities: \\n\\nBusiness Development\\n\\nIdentify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities in line with the company's strategic goals.\\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.\\nDevelop and execute comprehensive business development strategies and go-to-market plans.\\nLead contract negotiations and manage deal structuring for key partnerships and clients.\\nAnalyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.Operational Leadership\\n\\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, product, finance, and operations) to ensure successful execution of business initiatives.\\nWork with operations and finance teams to develop scalable systems and processes to support growth.\\nMonitor key operational metrics and KPIs to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.\\nParticipate in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning to align business development goals with operational capabilities.\\nOversee the implementation of new tools, technologies, and systems to enhance business efficiency.Team Management\\n\\nLead and mentor the sales Team and show leadership and direction to the wider business.\\nEstablish performance goals and conduct regular evaluations to foster professional development.\\nCultivate a high-performance culture aligned with the company's values and objectives.Experience:\\n\\n8+ years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within transport for events or exhibition industry ideal across the UK & EMEA (corporate, conferencing, audio or catering)\\nProven track record of driving revenue growth and securing key partnerships.\\nStrong understanding of business operations and ability to collaborate across departments.\\nExceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.\\nStrategic thinker with a hands-on approach and strong analytical capabilities.At Gleeson Recruitment Group, we embrace inclusivity and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and abilities.
