- Job Title: Road Coordinator
- Locations: Basildon
- Salary : 27-£30,000
Duties:
- Assist the Road Freight Supervisor in their duties, supporting the Head of Road's goal to improve the company's competitiveness and profitability.
- Understand and follow the department's vision for business growth, focusing on efficient Import/Export land freight, warehouse operations, and logistics services.
- Manage client and subcontractor relationships according to standard procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, following SOP guidelines.
- Complete all Import/Export tasks correctly and on time, including financial, legal, and invoicing responsibilities.
- Oversee operational activities to ensure they are completed on schedule.
- Maintain regular communication with sales teams, report new leads, and coordinate shipments.
- Send quotations to the line manager or sales team within two hours of receipt and ensure they are documented in a standard format.
- Share internal leads with customer service and sales teams.
- Work with credit control to follow up on overdue payments.
Skills & Competencies:
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a freight forwarding environment (import/export).
- Experience as a Road Freight Operator or in a similar role is preferred.
