I am working with a huge retailer in Leicestershire, who are currently undergoing a large-scale Accounts Payable transformation programme. A key part of the project involves migrating a large supplier base onto EDI and a self-service invoice portal as part of a wider move towards a more automated AP function. They are looking to hire several proactive and commercially minded individuals to support the end-to-end supplier onboarding process, ensuring suppliers are transitioned efficiently and accurately. This role is 5 days on-site. As this is a 6-month contract, you would be paid on a day rate - £130-150 per day.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for suppliers throughout the onboarding process
- Explaining the benefits of the new portal/EDI system and gaining supplier engagement
- Supporting suppliers through both the technical and administrative onboarding stages
- Ensuring supplier and invoice data is accurate and compliant
- Managing a high-volume onboarding pipeline and tracking progress against targets
- Troubleshooting onboarding issues and escalating technical queries where required
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience within Accounts Payable, supplier onboarding, project coordination, or stakeholder-focused operational roles
- Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with external stakeholders
- A proactive and resilient approach within a fast-paced transformation environment
- Strong attention to detail and a 'right first time' mindset
- Exposure to EDI systems or supplier portals would be advantageous, although not essential
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys process improvement, stakeholder engagement, and working within transformation-focused environments. Please only apply if you are comfortable working 5 days on-site and for a temporary role of 6 months.
