Interim Finance Analyst Leicester | Up to £40,000 (day rate equivalent) 3-month with potential to go permanent | Immediate start HYBRID | 3 days in the office (5 days in for week of month end) Gleeson are delighted to be working again with one of our largest, most fast-paced organisations based in Leicester to find them an experienced Interim Finance Analyst. This is initially a 3-month temporary position with the possibility to become permanent for the right person. You\’ll be stepping into a commercial finance role focused on preparing the month end for head office costs, working closely with stakeholders across HR, Legal, Facilities, Security and Finance. You\’ll be part of a supportive team. This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys being hands-on with the numbers but also thrives on building relationships, holding budget holders accountable and adding commercial insight to the numbers. Key Responsibilities of the Interim Finance Analyst: Responsibility for month-end accounting across a number of head office cost centres (accruals, prepayments and balance sheet recs) Preparing monthly finance packs with clear commentary and variance analysis for senior leadership Allocating head office costs across different divisions and working closely with Group Finance to ensure accuracy Attending monthly review meetings with cost centre managers – building strong relationships and improving spend visibility Preparing budgets and forecasts, including seasonal and ad hoc projections Supporting cost control across the business through process improvements and better reporting (Power BI knowledge is a bonus here) Getting involved in other ad hoc analysis and projects as needed. The Ideal Candidate: Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) with previous commercial finance experience is ideal. We can also consider strong, experienced QBEs who come from a large, fast paced industry environments such as retail, wholesale or FMCG Confident Excel skills and the ability to dig into data, spot issues and explain the \’why\’ Comfortable speaking with stakeholders at all levels – especially non-finance teams Someone with a flexible, proactive approach who enjoys working across a wide range of tasks Experience with SQL or Power BI would be ideal, but not essential.
