We are delighted to be partnering with a progressive and well-established law firm that is entering a major phase of growth, supported by significant new investment. As part of their expansion, they are now seeking a Head of Conveyancing to lead their Birmingham-based team and play a key role in shaping the firm’s future.
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional to step into a hands-on leadership role, managing a talented team of six while working closely with the firm’s senior leadership to deliver on ambitious growth plans.
The Role
As Head of Conveyancing, you will oversee all aspects of the department’s operations, from workflow management and quality assurance to client service and strategic development. You will lead, mentor, and develop your team, ensuring high performance, collaboration, and compliance across the board. You will also work directly with the firm’s senior management to support new initiatives, optimise processes, and help position the conveyancing function for long-term success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of six conveyancers, ensuring quality and efficiency across all caseloads.
- Overseeing the full conveyancing process, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the department.
- Working closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with firm-wide strategy.
- Acting as a key point of contact for complex or escalated matters, providing expert technical guidance.
About You
You will be an experienced conveyancing professional with proven leadership ability, confident, organised, and commercially astute. You will bring a client-first mindset, the ability to motivate a team, and a genuine enthusiasm for shaping and growing a successful department. Experience managing or supervising a conveyancing team is essential, alongside strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach.
