A leading, private equity-backed, UK business is seeking a highly capable M&A professional to lead transaction execution, within its ambitious buy‑and‑build strategy. This is a strategically significant role with direct exposure to the CFO, senior leadership, and shareholders, offering the opportunity to influence the organisation\’s growth agenda at a pivotal stage.
Role Overview
As Head of Transactions, you will take ownership of the full deal lifecycle, ensuring the efficient delivery of high‑quality acquisitions that align with the company\’s long‑term objectives. You will work cross‑functionally with internal teams and external advisers to drive disciplined execution, robust analysis, and seamless integration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis, and commercial assessment of acquisition targets
Manage and coordinate due diligence across internal stakeholders and external advisers
Support deal structuring, negotiation, and documentation (including SPA and offer letters)
Partner with operational leaders to ensure effective post‑acquisition integration and synergy realisation
Prepare and present strategic insights, investment cases, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and shareholders
Candidate Profile
ACA qualified
Currently operating at Assistant Director or Junior Director level within Transaction Services or Corporate Finance or in a buy‑side environment (Corporate Development or Private Equity)
Strong technical understanding of valuation methodologies, DCF, net debt, and working capital
Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
High energy
Commercially astute, collaborative, and able to operate with pace and professionalism
