About the Role
Gleeson are working with a business in the Leicestershire area who are seeking an experienced Group Tax Manager to join their Tax team, reporting directly to the Head of Tax. This role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and play a key role in ensuring accurate tax reporting, compliance, and advisory support across the Group.
The role:
- Supporting the preparation of annual tax provisions and deferred tax calculations, ensuring compliant statutory disclosures at both Group and subsidiary level
- Producing the monthly tax charge for management reporting and contributing to budget and forecast cycles
- Managing the calculation and monitoring of UK corporation tax payments on account
- Preparing UK corporation tax computations and returns and coordinating submissions via OneSource
- Overseeing the timely review and submission of UK VAT returns
- Evaluating existing tax processes and internal controls, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, accuracy and compliance
- Acting as a trusted tax adviser to the wider business, providing guidance on VAT and related matters
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with HMRC and external tax advisers
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified accountant or tax professional (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent)
- Strong UK corporate tax and VAT experience, ideally within a group environment
- Experience of tax reporting, provisioning and compliance
- Familiarity with OneSource (desirable, not essential)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, practical advice to non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive mindset and keen to learn
