We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Compliance Manager to oversee vehicle compliance, safety standards, and fleet performance across a high‑volume, temperature‑controlled logistics operation. You will play a critical role in ensuring all transport activities are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, including O‑Licence undertakings, DVSA requirements, vehicle maintenance standards, and Working Time Directive regulations.
- Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, vehicle availability, and cost efficiency.
- Work closely with workshops, suppliers, and operational teams to maintain vehicle reliability and uptime.
- Lead compliance audits across sites, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement.
- Manage incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
- Monitor tachograph data, driver behaviours, defect reporting, and safety performance.
- Provide guidance and support to Transport Managers, ensuring consistent compliance across all sites.
- Produce accurate compliance reports, KPIs, and fleet performance insights for senior leadership.
About You
- Strong background in fleet management and transport compliance, ideally within logistics or temperature‑controlled operations.
- Excellent knowledge of DVSA standards, transport legislation, and safety requirements.
- Confident communicator able to influence and support multi-site teams.
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- CPC Transport Management.
