This Credit Risk Lead role gives you full responsibility for credit risk across a UK customer base, acting as the key decision maker for complex exposure, escalations, customer negotiations and senior-level reporting - all without line management responsibilities.

About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who loves operating independently, taking accountability for outcomes, and working closely with multiple teams across the UK. You'll be the go-to expert for escalated, sensitive and commercially significant credit matters. The person people turn to when the decision really matters.
What You'll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of credit exposure across a UK portfolio, reviewing customer risk and ensuring appropriate limits are set.
- Making decisions on order release where credit, payment or financial concerns arise.
- Leading escalation processes for overdue or high-risk accounts, driving resolutions and building action plans.
- Building strong customer relationships to reduce aged debt and agree tailored repayment solutions.
- Working closely with sales, finance and customer service teams to remove barriers and align account strategies.
- Managing payment arrangements and progressing accounts into legal or third-party recovery routes when required.
- Reviewing and agreeing customer payment terms to ensure commercial suitability and alignment with policy.
- Preparing and presenting accounts receivable performance, risk commentary and recommendations to senior UK leadership.
- Contributing to process improvements that strengthen credit governance and improve cash flow.
