About the Role

Gleeson Homes is continuing to grow at pace - and our Finance team is growing with us. We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven Treasury Assistant to help keep our cashflow foundations strong and support the smooth running of our Group's financial operations. Working closely with our existing Accounts Assistant and wider Finance team, you'll take ownership of the Group's cashbook and play a key role in ensuring our banking, payments and reconciliations run like clockwork. What You'll Be Doing

  • Cashbook Management
  • Posting daily cashbook entries across all Group bank accounts
  • Reporting daily cash balances and highlighting variances against forecast
  • Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Payment Processing
    • Raising bank payments in line with delegated authority levels and finance policies
    • Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs for purchase ledger and subcontractor ledger
    • Working closely with Accounts Payable to resolve queries
    • Managing the Treasury inbox to ensure timely processing of payment requests
    • Submitting BACs payments
  • Other Finance Activities
    • Preparing and submitting CIS returns and deduction statements
    • Posting credit card transactions and keeping statements up to date
    • Resolving VAT invoice queries in line with VAT policies
    • Supporting management accounts and providing general finance assistance as needed

    What We're Looking For

    • Experience in a finance role involving banking, cashbook or purchase ledger
    • AAT Level 3 qualified or keen to work towards an accountancy qualification
    • Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working with internal teams, external partners and senior finance colleagues
    • Confident IT skills (MS Office) and experience with accounting software
    • Ability to work accurately to deadlines, especially around month-end
    • A motivated team player with a strong work ethic and willingness to get involved
