The Group Planner role provides support to the central planning function, assisting with the coordination, analysis and reporting of planning activity across the Group. The role is designed to build a strong foundation in planning policy, land promotion, development processes and planning governance, while supporting key business processes such as the land bid gateway and planning pipeline management. Working closely with both central and regional teams, the role helps ensure that planning information is accurate, consistent and supports effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning Support and Coordination
- Support the Group Planning team in the coordination of planning activity across regions, ensuring information is accurately captured and shared.
- Assist in tracking the progress of planning applications and key milestones across the development pipeline.
- Help maintain central records of planning submissions, consents and conditions.
- Land Bid Gateway Support
- Assist in the administration and coordination of planning inputs into the land bid gateway process.
- Support the collation of information required for land approval submissions, including planning assumptions, risks and timelines.
- Ensure planning information within submissions is accurate, clearly presented and consistent.
- Planning Research and Analysis
- Support research into planning policy, local plans and regulatory changes, summarising key impacts for the business.
- Assist in analysing site-specific planning constraints and opportunities.
- Provide support in preparing briefing notes and summaries for senior stakeholders.
- Consultant and Stakeholder Coordination
- Assist in liaising with external planning consultants and advisers to gather information and updates.
