About this opportunity

We\’re searching for a Project Manager to join our Cambridge Project Management team.

The Cambridge office specializes in high-quality projects across sectors such as Higher Education (including University of Cambridge and Colleges), Hi-tech, pharmaceutical, science, and research projects on the science and business parks of the \’Cambridge Cluster\’, as well as Arts and Heritage projects throughout East Anglia and beyond.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives
  2. Engaging positively with customers and developing, maintaining customer relationships
  3. Delivering high-quality services and outputs that meet customer requirements
  4. Managing projects to ensure high-quality services and deliverables in line with business procedures
  5. Administering contracts as a contract administrator, employer’s agent, or project manager
  6. Producing and presenting reports to customers
  7. Identifying new business opportunities and driving growth
  8. Managing service delivery for profit
  9. Advising directors promptly of any issues impacting projects or professional indemnity insurance

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge, and Key Skills

  • Sound project management experience post-qualification
  • Knowledge of project management techniques
  • Experience in administering construction contracts
  • Understanding of legislation affecting building contracts
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Methodical approach to work
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements quickly
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and financial skills
  • Proficiency in ICT, especially MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Teamwork skills
