As a senior building surveyor, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Customer relationship management, including developing, growing and maintaining positive relationships with new and existing customers
  • Delivery of multi-disciplinary building surveying services to high standards ensuring customer requirements are met
  • Working collaboratively to support delivery of built asset solutions, and Gleeds business objectives
  • Managing building projects from feasibility through to design, contract administration to handover and post completion reviews
  • Mentoring and coaching direct reports and colleagues where appropriate to support both personal, professional and technical development
  • Managing services and fees to optimise revenue and profitability
  • Actively identify new business development opportunities and driving growth across the Business Unit activities

Who we’re looking for:

  • Sound Building Surveying experience post MRICS qualification
  • Practical experience delivering professional building surveying services
  • Practical experience in design, specification writing and acting as contract administrator on JCT suite of contracts
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
  • Excellent communication, organisational, problem solving, information processing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt, plan, and manage people, working as part of a team or as a team leader

Qualifications: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
