About this opportunity
Develop and define a national service line in a brand new role, bringing strategy, structure and leadership to a high growth sector with Gleeds Built Asset Solutions. This is an exciting senior leadership opportunity; a brand new role for our Built Asset Solutions service. A service ownership role, you'll be a market facing leader, shaping Gleeds' stock condition survey and asset intelligence offer across the UK housing sector and enhancing our capabilities in a significant growth market. Based in Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester or Leeds, you will focus on business growth & working winning, defining strategies and accountability for the growth and performance of a significant revenue-generating service line. You will also lead the teams and client relationships that deliver it.
We are looking for a recognised sector leader, someone who understands housing providers' boardroom challenges, has a track record of winning and delivering large-scale survey frameworks, and can combine commercial ambition with the technical credibility to lead a national team.

Who we’re looking for
Key Experience, knowledge & skills:
- Broad, in-depth housing survey experience
- Detailed knowledge and practical experience of delivery of building surveying tasks
- Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies
- Ability to administer construction contracts as Contracts Administrator and Employers Agent
- Clear understanding of legislation impacting on building contracts
- Ability to motivate others (including providing support and encouragement) and to lead high performance teams
- Clear and effective communication skills – both oral and written
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changes
- Excellent problem solving, negotiating skills, financial and numeracy management skills
- Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
- Sound ICT Skills, with a high level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Competent at negotiating sufficient fees to both complete services and generate required profit levels
- Ability to work as part of a team and lead teams
