Our Infrastructure team specialises in Rail, Transport and Utilities, delivering projects that create lasting benefits for communities and economies. As a Senior Risk Manager, you will support the Director of Project Controls and our growing team of risk professionals, developing and implementing an integrated risk‑management service across our capital programme portfolio. You will work on a portfolio of key Infrastructure and Non‑Infrastructure clients, addressing risk opportunities at every project stage from feasibility to delivery, with best‑in‑class risk modelling.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate proactive and constructive behaviours, harnessing risk information to respond with agility to project challenges.
- Challenge the norm and contribute views to shape Gleeds’ future risk‑management approaches.
- Lead or support delivery of risk‑management commissions on major programmes and projects.
- Conduct quantitative risk assessment (integrated, cost and schedule) to inform business cases, investment decisions and programme performance.
- Use tools such as @risk, Safran, PRA, or similar; and have knowledge of new technologies such as Nodes & Links and nPlan.
- Interrogate and present key risk findings to clients, including QRA model outputs and recommendations to support decision making and assurance of supply‑chain risk management performance.
- Lead and facilitate risk workshops for identification, assessment and prioritisation of threats, opportunities and mitigations, including What‑If and Scenario Analysis.
- Familiarity with Risk, Project Controls/PMO and PPP Delivery Maturity Assessments.
- Provide guidance and training to project teams on risk‑management tools and techniques.
Required qualifications and skills
- A recognised diploma or degree or professional certifications in risk management (e.g., PMI‑RMP, APM Risk, IRM).
- 6+ years in risk management within major projects or regulated industries such as nuclear, infrastructure or energy.
